Vortex Necklace with Blue Chalcedony

Elegant silver pendant with intricate circular pattern highlighting a satiny blue chalcedony.

Handcrafted pendant is 3/4 inch in diameter, with contrasting textures on back and on the bail.

5 mm natural blue chalcedony cabochon.

Sterling chain is 16 inches, with an optional 2 inch extension, embellished with a matching silver charm.

The pendant is made from precious metal clay (PMC), which consists of recycled silver particles embedded in a binder. The clay is worked into a desired shape, dried, and then fired in a kiln. At high temperatures, the binder burns off, leaving .999% fine silver! The silver piece can then be treated with traditional metalsmithing techniques, such as dapping, forging, burnishing, and polishing. A patina is added for character and to highlight textures. Each piece is signed on the back with my artist’s logo. All jewelry is completely handmade; natural variations will occur.
