Gillian Hoops

Named after my college mentor, Gillian, a smart and sophisticated and stylish neuroscientist, who took me under her wing with her hard-love support. She mother-henned a small group of undergraduate and medical school women, and we all looked up to her as a strong woman balancing a tenure-track research career with mothering a young boy.

Hoop is 3/4 inch in diameter. Three, small textured loops slide loosely around the textured hoop. Hoop dangles gently from an elongated, textured loop, fitted with a post on the back.

Hand-fabricated from sterling silver and oxidized with a patina, then polished to a lovely glow.
